Damn These Immigrants!

Sunday, September 9, 2012

The UPites and the Biharis have long been testing Uncle Thackeray, Sonny Thackeray, and Nephew Thackeray's impatience. Though human migration, whether it's legal or illegal, voluntary or involuntary, has been taking place all over the world since time immemorial, still I can’t understand why these people (traitors!) leave their homeland to go and live uninvited in other cities or countries and spoil the latter's peace and harmony.

Immigrants take their rotten traditions, strange food habits, and nonsensical religious rituals with them, and then sit like ugly patches on the host city, state, or country’s fine tapestry, all the while, consuming, devouring, and despoiling the resources meant for the natives, thus compelling the right-thinking, patriotic natives and their self-appointed leaders to pick up lathis or guns to defend their traditions, racial purity, jobs etc. etc. Besides all this, the Thackerays—poor fellas—have to work extra hard to keep their vote bank alive and pulsating.

World Rhetoricians’ Convention

Wednesday, January 26, 2011

It so happened that Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck were chatting online, and during their passionate back and forth, they accidentally spilled in the chat window how lonely they were in spite of their bunch of ardent followers.

“It’s lonely at the top,” he wrote.

“You betcha,” she replied.

“Heads of state mingle with each other at G8 Summit, business leaders have meetings to discuss their issues, movie stars gather at award ceremonies, even the petty bloggers manage to hold bloggers meets.”

So Palin and Beck decided to have a Rhetoricians’ Convention. Palin then informed me about the meeting and its agenda:

Stop Picking On My Great-Uncle Balasaheb Thackeray

Tuesday, February 9, 2010

Balasaheb Keshav Thackeray
Folks, stop this mob mentality. Why is everyone after my great-uncle, Balasaheb Keshav Thackeray? If anyone calls him a “goonda” again, I will conjure up my powers and turn that person into a frog, and then the spell will only be broken if he, my great-uncle, gets a kiss on the Valentine’s Day! A fat chance, so think before you speak.

The Strange Affliction Of Raj Thackeray

Sunday, October 4, 2009

Raj Thackeray greeting his supporters
The doctors attending on the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) supremo, Raj Thackeray, at Lilavati Hospital said that he had awakened from coma, but was still under observation. They disclosed that he was now suffering from a strange affliction wherein his vocabulary had reduced to…horror of horrors… only one word, the “B” word.

Deeply moved by his condition, the President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil released this statement: "This is an occasion for all of us to reflect on the life and work of the Son of Maharashtra, Raj Thackeray. Whenever I think of Raj, his image in white kurta-pajama, spectacles, and red tilak emerges before my eyes, and I am always overwhelmed by his philosophy and values. Raj's leadership inspired hundreds to unite for the cause of Marathi Manoos, and work for the eradication of bhaiyas and their dadagiri by destroying public property.”
