Recipient of Peace Prize 2009
The Grist Mill has decided that the Peace Prize for 2009 is to be awarded to my Unborn child for the hope that he will make extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples. The Mill has attached special importance to the Unborn’s prospective vision of and work for a world without nuclear weapons.
The Unborn is supposed to create a new climate in international politics. Multilateral diplomacy will regain a central position, with emphasis on the role that the United Nations and other international institutions will play. Dialogue and negotiations will be preferred as instruments for resolving even the most difficult international conflicts. The vision of a world free from nuclear arms will powerfully stimulate disarmament and arms control negotiations.

Thanks to the Unborn's future initiatives, we will be playing a more constructive role in meeting the great climatic challenges the world is confronting. Democracy and human rights will be strengthened.

Only very rarely such a person as the Unborn has captured my imagination to such an extent and given me hope for a better future. His diplomacy will be founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world's population.
