Friends, terrorists are people too. Let us not hurt their feelings by gloating over the death of al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden. If you can spare a little time, please join me in a prayer for the departed leader.

Oh God, you are the Creator, the Preserver, and the Annihilator of this universe. Thank you for creating such a wonderful person. He came, he saw, and he killed. He was loved and admired by a lot of people everywhere, especially in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

His mission in life was to make the whole world follow Sharia law, beginning with the Muslim countries, so he trained his followers to become human bombs and sent them to blow up his detractors, which included America, Israel, Shia Muslims, and other heretics. His initiatives killed millions of people around the world, thus relieving mother earth from some of its burden.

There are two kinds of people in this world—the inactive ones who let circumstances shape their destiny, and the proactive ones who shape their own destiny. Bin Laden wrote his own destiny. He even wrote a poem about his death after 9/11:

"Let my grave
be an eagle's belly,
its resting place
in the sky's atmosphere
amongst perched eagles."

He probably thought that his killers would leave his dead body in a jungle for the eagles to devour, but they decided otherwise. Anyway, when the eagles feast on the fish of the Arabian Sea, his wish will come true.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to his five wives and twenty children. They may find comfort in knowing that someone so special will never be forgotten. He meant a lot of things to many people and will be missed tremendously.

Dear readers, to mourn the death of God’s favorite child, who prayed seven times a day, and to commemorate his ideology, please light a Diwali patakha as a symbolic bomb in your backyard and kill a few bugs. Also as a benign gesture, let us abstain from the vices of the western society such as, "fornication, homosexuality, intoxicants, gambling, and usury" for a few minutes. Amen!
